Introduction.

I intent to investigate the language of love songs featuring around the subject of abandonment in the 1970’s compare to the ones of modern day. I have chosen the song Mother by John Lennon written in the 1970's and then Abandonment by Bif Naked written in the 21st century. The songs can be different in a way that abandonment can be different in different years and also the semantics will be slighty different. The language in the earlier songs is more simple and tries to get a simple effect from it whereas the song written int he 21st century are more stories and differentiate itself from other music written earlier.
